Art Submission Guidelines

• Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
• Digital submissions are strongly encouraged by completing the form below. If you are unable to submit your materials digitally, you may send materials by mail addressed to: Curatorial Review Committee, National Museum of Women in the Arts, 1615 M Street NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20036. Materials sent by mail require additional time for processing.
• We are unable to return submitted materials. Please do not include any original artwork OR self-addressed stamped envelopes.
• Although the Curatorial Review Committee is happy to review all proposals, please understand that opportunities for inclusion in the exhibition program and collection are very limited.
• NMWA staff cannot make studio visits, view works in person, or make visits to private collections during the initial review phase. If the Curatorial Review Committee is interested in your work, we will contact you about any further steps.
• NMWA as an institution cannot perform appraisals or authentications of any work of art.
• If you have trouble submitting the form, please email your questions or concerns to artsubmissions@nmwa.org. Please note that we are not able to accept full submissions by email, but a member of the curatorial committee will respond to assist when possible.

While the Curatorial Review Committee carefully reviews each proposal, due to the exceptional volume of submissions received we regret that we are unable to respond to each one individually.
